A pox on your family

August 8, 2011

So wee man has got the clucking pox.  Despite that setback (and the fear for Hat), we achieved a great deal today.  Assorted DIY, estate agents moving in right direction, removal men booked; all was looking dandy until DHL called to say that ikea bedroom couldn’t be delivered til 26th.  Damn, the ikea plate had been precariously spinning for some while.  Lurching desperately between delivery in London on Thursday (to be taken with removal men), or delivery in Shrews on Friday…regardless we’ve missed both spots and left with the weekly delivery in Shrews the following Friday.  Crash, bang wallop.  Oh well, Grandma and Auntie Monster will have to sleep on something less substantial.  Best get fridge sorted this evening or there may be a big porcelain problem by this time tomorrow.

Poor Cosmo – a miserable malaise. Meanwhile, best of luck with the move!

The pox, the pox. I’ve heard you need an enormity of calamine lotion. If it makes you feel any better, Cecily’s tummy went all wobbly at a soft play centre, cue dash to Next with naked child!

Rotten luck about the pox – wrap his hands in cotton hankies at night so he doesn’t scratch his face. Although almost everyone has at least one chicken pock mark.
