Exhausted, and we’ve only just begun

August 11, 2011

It’s dawned on me that the packing bit isn’t really the hard part (not just cos Nev’s done it all).  The real fun/hard work is in the unpacking.  It’ll be a while…

Off tomorrow, all very exciting if a little by the seat of our pants.  Hopefully we’ll make it to the estate agents to sign the contract, collect keys etc before they close, and then back to the house before the Bushell’s arrive.

Stupendous. I’ve never known anybody who managed to endure the hell of a move AND take pictures of it. This equivalent to someone falling out of a plane and keeping a diary entry about it.
Anyway it’s wonderful for us to be able to visualize it all in relative peace and calm.
So, good God – you’re out of London. Gone. Vamoosed.
(With the last firecrackers nipping at Bushells’ heels.)
Ad, when do you start at the college there.
    (What’s it called?)
Rosie, when do you erstwhile employers register your absence. (Not for ages, if I remember rightly.)
What about social services? Aren’t they somehow hot on your trail?
It all seems to have been so quick.
Do you have tenants for Draycott?
    Jet-propelled, that’s what you all are…
    Great love,
—–Dad also known as Grandad (am I?) (I know I ought to know if I’m Granpa, Gramps, or Grandad. Just keep telling me till it sinks into my thick skull.)

Is it not Grandpa? Can be whatever you want…but we need to set it pretty soon…Grandad it is…?! Or perhaps just ‘The Bishop”?

After a good nights deliberation (or rather a bad night as Trilby was up moaning about her chicken pox for most of it) – “The Bishop” i think is the winner.
